Ubuntu and Derivitives

Hi Z... I started this Thread because your other Thread was locked...

I have stared the Upgrade process from Ubuntu 12.04 to 14.04 on my HP Pavilion 9000 Laptop.  I had some trouble with the NVIDIA drivers when I installed 12.04 so I hope that I don't run into the same problem here.

The reason I opened this thread was to solicit help if something goes terribly wrong...

I'll keep you and everyone else posted as the upgrade progresses...

Ok it looks like my concerns were unwarranted. The Upgrade to 14.04 went off without a hitch..  I'll start adding some of the repositories that you recommended that I don't already have..

If I run into trouble I'll post again here...
